About Us
Helping West Lincoln families and preschoolers to play, learn and grow for over 40 years!!
Established in 1979, West Lincoln Co-Op Nursery School is a non-profit organization licensed under the Ontario Child Care and Early Years Act. Our program is specialized for children aged 2.5 to 5 years under the direction of our experienced Early Childhood Educator, "Miss Penny". We are located within Smithville Public School and offer morning classes (9am to 12pm) throughout the school-year.
At WLCNS we provide opportunities for inquiry-based learning through active and creative play, circle time, crafts, stories, and songs. Early math, science, reading and printing skills are presented in fun, child-led ways. Children are provided with morning snack and opportunities to develop dressing and toileting skills needed for kindergarten. Special activities and field trips are also offered throughout the year.
There is no requirement for families to join committees or assist with classroom duty, however our co-op program can be made affordable to all families by providing an option to offset monthly fees through participating in these ways.
Registrations are on-going throughout the school year.

At WLCNS we foster an inclusive program and a respect for diversity, which is vital for optimal development and learning. Our program is built on the child care needs of the community and recognizes the unique qualities of each child and family. The program also encompasses strategies to foster an inclusive learning environment where every child can participate. We are a non-denominational organization and welcome community members of any denomination.
