About Us
Helping West Lincoln families and preschoolers to play, learn, and grow since 1979.
West Lincoln Nursery School is a non-profit organization licensed under the Ontario Child Care and Early Years Act. Our program is designed for children aged 2.5 to 5 years and is led by our experienced Early Childhood Educator, Miss Penny. Located within Smithville Public School, we offer both morning and afternoon classes throughout the school year.
At WLNS, children learn through inquiry-based, play-focused experiences. Each day includes active and creative play, circle time, crafts, stories, and songs. Early math, science, reading, and printing skills are introduced in fun, child-led ways that support each child’s development. Children are provided with a morning snack and opportunities to build independence through dressing and toileting skills in preparation for kindergarten. Special activities and occasional field trips are offered throughout the year to enhance learning.
Registration is ongoing throughout the school year.

Every Child Belongs!
At WLCNS, we are committed to fostering an inclusive program that values diversity as an essential part of children’s development and learning. Our approach is guided by the child care needs of the community and recognizes the unique strengths, backgrounds, and experiences of each child and family. We intentionally create an inclusive learning environment where every child is supported and able to participate fully. WLCNS is a non-denominational organization and warmly welcomes children and families from all backgrounds and beliefs.
